Authorities say the largest of the wildfires burning near Spokane, the Hart Road fire north of Davenport has jumped the Spokane River and has burned as many as 13 homes and has grown to more than 6-thousand acres.  An emergency shelter is in place at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds and Wellpinit High School in Stevens County.  The Town of Wellpinit lost all power on Sunday.   There is zero percent containment reported.  Tuesday, firefighters plan to use burnout operations to slow the fire and protect threatened structures.  As many as 8 aircraft will be on the fire Tuesday, according to the Northwest Incident Command Team managing the fire.  Porcupine Bay Campground day-use and boat launch on Lake Roosevelt has been closed until further notice, according to a news release by the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area.

Washington State Patrol reports another wildfire, south of Spokane near the town of Spangle, destroyed at least 10 homes and numerous other buildings Sunday.  Local farmers helped firefighters build fire lines Sunday night.
