The Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority announced that roughly $333,000 in Washington Small Business Emergency grants will be distributed to 71 local companies. The grants awarded are up to $5,000.

The grantees range from the restaurant and retail industry to beauty and personal services, childcare businesses and fitness facilities.

"The funds that are available are able to go toward rent and operating expenses for business," said Jim Kuntz, CEO. "The only restriction is that it cannot go to payroll."
