8-Year-Old Dies After Being Accidentally Shot in Moses Lake

A tragic scene in Moses Lake Tuesday night as an 8-year-old was accidentally shot and killed by a pellet gun held by a 13-year-old.

Grant County Sheriff's PIO Kyle Foreman says the incident occurred around 6:30 along Scott Road.

"Despite the efforts of emergency responders the 8-year-old died at the scene. We ask that everyone prays for the family and for the little boy and his friends and loved ones."

The Grant County Coroner is expected to release the name of the victim at some point today.
