YMCA is hosting its 16th annual Golf Classic on September 12 at a different venue this year,  Three Lakes Golf Club with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Golfers not only get a round of golf in before the weather gets chilly, but also get the opportunity to give back to the littlest ones in the community. The proceeds support the YMCA kid oriented programs such as camp, mentoring, preschool, swim lessons.

"You can play if you have a team of four, you can just do a sponsorship, you can do a hole in one sponsor or meal sponsor; there's a lot of different options," said Lindsey Schibel, executive assistant. "Basically, any donations that are made to this event goes to the kids in this community."

According to Schibel, there are a couple of spots still open for interested golfers or philanthropists.

"The support will also help keep cost down for all kids while allowing us the capital capacity to facilitate programs," said Schibel.
