Animal Care & Control is investigating a dog bite just south of Wenatchee.

According to a news release Wednesday, a woman was bitten by a dog on the Dry Gulch Trail Monday at approximately 9:30 am. The woman stated a large, black and silver long, wire-haired dog approached her, then proceeded to bite her on the back of the arm.

After the incident occurred, the victim reported that the dog returned to a medium build Caucasian male in the 50's or 60's, with grey hair. The owner leashed the dog and got into an older royal blue Chevy Suburban, and left the trailhead.

If you have any possible information to help identify the dog, or its owner, please contact Animal Care & Control at (509) 662-9577, option 1.
