A report of an explosion from the top of a home in the 1000 block of Cherry Street in Wenatchee led crews to an arbor vitae on fire, threatening two homes Monday morning.

Chelan County PUD reports a squirrel caused a fuse to blow this morning which started a fire in the arbor vitae near the home, and there was actually no eplosion.

"The takeaway on this fire is do not have arbor vitae near a home," said Kay McKellar, Chelan County Fire District 1 Public Information Officer.
