If you are going to head outside to the National Forest this weekend, it's important to be prepared with multiple hunting seasons underway.

Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest Public Affairs Officer Robin DeMario says it starts with your clothes.

"Make sure you and your pets are very visible when hiking, especially going cross county. Make noise and wear brightly colored clothing. Hunter orange is best if you have it."

She also stressed that campfires are still banned on National Forest land, and most other places with the high fire danger, but they are still having to issue citations daily to folks who ignore the rule.
