Big Bend Community College nursing program will be working alongside Grant County Health District to offer two Moderna vaccination clinics on campus. The free clinics will be on June 10 for the first dose and July 8 for the second dose from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and are open to students, staff and the surrounding community.

Those that attend aren't required to have health insurance nor will not be asked to prove residency or immigration status in order to receive a vaccine.

"We like to think that our students and their families feel Big Bend is a safe environment regardless of immigration status or whether or not they have an ID," said Matthew Killebrew, communications director. "We wanted them to come out and feel safe, to try and remove that barrier."

The nursing program, including instructors and students had been assisting with vaccinations throughout the pandemic in Grant County. To register, visit here.
