Big Bend Community College, in partnership with First Book, delivered more than 1,200 books for Larson Heights Elementary and North Elementary students. This is the fourth year the college has sponsored the neighboring Moses Lake elementary schools.

"It really allows us to provide these books for free for students to take home with them," said Tiffany Fondren, communications coordinator.

Typically, the book delivery is done before the kiddos are released for summer break, but opted for a different timeline this year.

"But with everything going on, with students staying at home and not being able to school libraries or community libraries, we wanted to move the delivery up to give them something to do, pass the time while they're at home," said Fondren.
