Trick or treaters will still have an opportunity to trick or treat downtown this year at the Candy Cruz, however it will be via drive thru rather than on foot.

Thanks to sponsors and Plaza Super Jet for sourcing the candy, the Wenatchee Downtown Association managed to buy all the candy to hand out. Due to this, businesses that want to participate don't have to make the purchase for treats.

"Those downtown handing out candy, between 1 and 3 on Saturday, will be gloved and masked and many will be dressed up," said Linda Haglund, executive director of Wenatchee Downtown Association.

Kids must remain in the vehicle as well as masks being required.

"We're trying to provide a safe, normal for Halloween for the children in our community," said Haglund.

Downtown Wenatchee will be offering candy from 1 to 3, Pybus from 2 to 4 and the Wenatchee Parks and Recreation will be stationed at the Town Toyota Center from 2 to 5.
