Cascade Medical Expands Patient Only Parking

Cascade Medical has opened the lot at the corner of 9th and Commercial streets exclusively for patients from 8-5 Monday through Friday.

"For those of you who are familiar with Cascade Medical, that is right off of the old clinic, right where the administration offices are now. That lot is patient only parking now," said Rachel Hansen, Public Relations coordinator.

With 15 parking spots, including two ADA spaces, and a covered walkway, patients can dodge weather conditions and take the speedy, direct route into the main entrance without having to cross the street.

"Parking is our biggest challenge because we're located in downtown Leavenworth," said Hansen. "We want patients to have a good experience the moment they arrive, so we made some big changes over the summer."

This is the result of Cascade Medical's project to expand parking options. The medical hub recently moved staff parking to the newly paved and lighted lot across Commercial Street and several staff members voluntarily agreed to park off-site so patients can have better access.

"I think our patients will appreciate the new lot, especially with festival season coming up. Now they can park on either side of our facility, whether it's at the emergency side or the administration side without having to cross the streets," said Hansen.
