The annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony in Cashmere will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks Saturday from 11 to 12:30.

David Beamer, who's son Todd was part of the effort to retake Flight 93 from the hijackers before crashing the plane near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, will be the keynote speaker along with his wife Peggy.

"It just felt like the right thing to do." explained Beamer, "It's a chance for us to go and say 'thank you' to some people who haven't forgotten."

Todd Beamer's phrase of "Let's roll" was the last thing heard from the passengers before they took on the hijackers.

"I have a chance to speak to young people from time to time. I remind them of that phrase and tell them it's a call to action. Do the right thing at the right time." continued Beamer, "We all have choices to make every day, and you know what the right one is, so just do it."

Organizers are expecting a very large turnout Saturday, with over 400 people from across Washington State and the U.S. possible.

The ceremony will be held at the 9/11 Spirit of America Memorial in Riverside Park in Cashmere. There will be a presentation of colors, an invocation and a 21 gun salute on top of contributions by the Beamers.
