Chelan County Sheriff deputies recovered the body of a man in his 60s from Colchuck Lake who is suspected to have died from cardiac issues.

State Emergency Management notified Chelan County Sheriff's Office Wednesday night around 6 p.m. of an inreach device activation in the Colchuck Lake area.

"Later there was actually communication through the inreach that stated there was an unconscious male in his sixties with no pulse and they performed CPR on him and actually had a doctor on scene pronounce him dead up near Colchuck," said Chief Jason Reinfeld.

A call was put in for a medical helicopter Wednesday evening and made it up there, however was unable to recover the man. The medical helicopter was unable to reach him due to it requiring quite the hike from the landing zone, according to Reinfeld. Chelan County Sheriff's office sent their helicopter in Thursday morning and the body was recovered.
