All hands were on deck for the 200 to 250 acre brush fire south of Rock Island Sunday evening as Chelan, Douglas and Grant County fire district crews, the Bureau of Land Management and the Forest Service worked against extremely windy conditions. According to Douglas County Fire District 2 Captain Seth Ellis, crews were dispatched to the fire just before 7 p.m. and most of the crews left just before midnight. There was still crews on scene as of Monday morning.
