With the incident management team coordinating with the Chelan-Douglas Health District, officials feel moving forward in the pandemic looks promising.

CDHD health officer, Dr. Malcolm Butler noted it was underestimated how resource poor the Chelan Douglas Health District was prior to the incident management team's arrival.

"We do feel more robust and rested now," said Dr. Butler. "I think we have had the opportunity to do some fairly broad testing which has been quite helpful."

This insight was shared at last Monday's Chelan-Douglas Health District board meeting.

"I'm more confident now than I have been in the past," said Dr. Butler. "We have a long way to go but I am confident with the current strategy."

He did note a permanent administrator is needed as well as filling positions of staff that have left and expand nursing staff.
