The Chelan-Douglas Board of Health will be meeting Tuesday afternoon to discuss any new information or strategies that might be used to move our area to Phase 2 of the reopening plan.

Chelan County Commissioner Kevin Overbay says they are looking at guidelines provided by the CDC.

"It talks about a three-day rolling average, a five-day grace period over the 14 days and so we're looking at that particular piece and how that fits into our communities and see if we can go ahead and apply for another variance similar to what Grant County did."

The current orders expire on Sunday though Governor Jay Inslee has said that it is possible he will extend many of the limitations into June.

Chelan County Commissioner Doug England says they working together with Douglas County.

"We would be willing, if Douglas County was dramatically than we were, to say 'You guys go ahead, and we'll take our lumps,' but that isn't the case. We swing high and then they swing high and back and forth. We're in this together."

The Chelan-Douglas Health District is one of just three combined health districts in the state.
