The Chelan-Douglas Health District is warning North Central Washington residents that poor air quality is expected for the next few days and they should take steps to protect themselves.

They are urging everyone, but particularly those who are sensitive to air quality conditions, to stay inside as much as possible, keep doors and windows closed, change air conditioners to recirculate, and use a portable air cleaner.

Wildfire smoke can cause serious health problems. If you are experiencing serious symptoms, please seek
medical attention.
