The city of Ephrata will have their consolidated disposal crews cruising through different sections of town to collect curbside bags of leaves from November 15 to November 18. The Fall Leaf Pick Up event is intended to collect leaves only and if garbage or brush is found in bags, the city will end the complimentary annual service.

"We run the program every year. It helps keep the leaves out of the gutter for storm drainage purposes," said Bill Sangster, public works director. "It helps the city as well as giving the resident a place to get their leaves picked up."

Residents that miss pickup day can swing by City Hall and a dropbox will be available.

Crews will be in the northeast section on November 15, southeast section on November 16, grandview and northwest section on November 17, southwest section, Orchard VW and Swanson on November 18.
