The community will have one last chance to say farewell to the Museum of the Columbia at Rocky Reach Dam.

Spokesperson Kimberlee Craig says Chelan PUD will host “Night at the Museum: Saying Goodbye” November 1st from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Rocky Reach Discovery Center.

"One thing we will be doing at the 'Night at the Museum' is really inviting folks to join us on the journey to the new Discovery Center." Craig explained, "We're going to have a chance to digitally take a peek through the construction wall as we add new features."

There will also be light refreshments and guided tours by 'alumni' Rocky Reach tour guides.

"Some of the people who know the museum the best are folks who started their careers as tour guides at Rocky Reach Dam." added Craig, "They'll be there to guide folks that would like a little inside peek through the museum."

The Discovery Center will undergo an 18-month renovation. Some exhibits from the Museum of the Columbia will be incorporated into the new Discovery Center, while others will go to the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center.
