Confluence Health, along with many other healthcare providers, has halted elective surgeries and in person routine care visits, but has not halted services to patients. Confluence Health has partnered with company, Caregility, to provide a two way audio and video communication, Virtual Visits, for non emergent healthcare services.

"A patient can expect during a Virtual Visit to see and talk with their provider," said Clint Strand, public information officer. "So through a smartphone device or a desktop computer, the patient can initiate an audio visual connection with the provider."

During the visit, the provider can perform assessments, not requiring physical contact and review that patient's condition in detail. Virtual Visits can be used for a number of different services from preventive care follow up for chronic conditions, annual wellness check ups to acute colds.

"Additionally, our speciality providers are also available to deliver Virtual Visits," said Strand. "So visits with your cardiologists or other specialists, there also available for Virtual Visits."

Virtual Visits can be accessed by using the current patient facing the Electronic Medical Record patient portal, MyChart. Virtual Visit services started Monday, March 23.
