Cougar Spotted in East Wenatchee

It's not known where a cougar is now after the animal made a late-night visit to the SureStay hotel in East Wenatchee.

Staff noticed the sliding front door opening and closing with no one entering the building at about 12:30 Saturday morning.

Workers looked at video and found a cougar had walked through the parking lot and triggered the automatic sliding door.

East Wenatchee Police searched the area, which is near Valley Mall, and notified Animal Control when they weren't able to locate the cougar.
