Aaron Montgomery, a math professor at CWU, has received the Distinguished College or University Teaching of Mathematics Award. Montgomery has been at CWU for 16 years and is lauded as "one of the best with respect ot his devotion to teaching and exploring ways to support students" by Department Chair Stuart Boersma. The award is given each year to a teacher of mathematics who is recognized as extraordinarily successful by the Pacific Northwest Section of the Mathematical Association of America. He will receive the award at the annual meeting in June and is up for the national award. This is CWU's third MAA award.
