The State Department of Ecology is holding one final hearing on the environmental impact statement, or EIS, for the rebuild and restoration of Eightmile Dam Thursday night.

As a result of flood damage and erosion caused by impacts of the Jack Creek Fire in 2017, a state of emergency was declared, and the 90 year old dam was designated a high hazard and a threat to downstream residents and property.

The public comment period runs through February 1st.

The meeting will be done virtually Thursday, January 21st from 5-8 p.m.
