DOH To Ensure Every Every Nursing Home Resident & Staff Have Been Tested

Secretary of Health John Wiseman announced at Governor Jay Inslee's Tuesday press conference that the Department of Health is preparing to test all nursing home residents for COVID-19 that haven't already been tested. Nursing home staff that haven't been tested will also undergo the testing.

"We will be looking to do that in the two week period of time to have that happen," said Wiseman.

The Department of Health is also looking at having staff retested on a regular basis.

"We are moving in that direction. We think that's a good policy," said Wiseman. "Of course, this all depends on testing supplies."
