The Douglas County PUD Commissioners approved a $33,399.20 funding request by the North Central Educational Service District during their Monday meeting.

It's part of an arrangement that has been ongoing since 1988 and helps to provide educational curriculum for every kindergarten through fifth grade student in Douglas County.

Kids learn about electrical generation, electric distribution, conservation, safety and wise use of water resources.

The funding is for the 2019-2020 school year.
