Douglas County PUD will hold a public hearing on their Integrated Resource Plan at the next commissioners meeting September 23rd. Public Information Officer Meaghan Vibbert says they are examining any possible scenarios over the next 10-plus years they will be deficient.

"It's a good opportunity to put some real facts behind what we think our projections are going to be and see how we can plan for the future needs of the district."

Customers can review the plan on the PUD's website and feedback can also be submitted in writing as well if you can't make the meeting which is the 23rd beginning at 1:30.

Vibbert says as a public entity they want to hear from their customers on the proposed plan.

"What type of conservation programs would be beneficial. What type of distributed generation might be beneficial. Other opportunities for additional resources, if they're other resources we can go out there and purchase."

The full plan can be found on the Douglas County PUD website.
