East Wenatchee Man Arrested for Assault of Infant Son

A 35-year-old East Wenatchee resident is in jail after being accused of severely injuring his infant son in March.

Douglas County Undersheriff Tyler Caille said Tyler Vance Metcalfe allegedly injured the baby March 29th.

"Mr. Metcalfe was arrested and booked into the Chelan County Regional Jail for assault of a child 1st degree, domestic violence," stated Caille.

Metcalfe was arrested May 5th.

His less than three month old son was hospitalized at Harborview Medical Center for multiple fractures. Nicknamed 'Baby Chance', the child was recently released from the hospital and is now in protective custody along with his older sister.
