Cameron Jeffrey Wilson of East Wenatchee died at the Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla September 13th in his single cell where he was serving a 51-month sentence. Janelle Guthrie with the State Department of Corrections says he was found unresponsive around 5:00 p.m.

"Staff initiated life-saving measures and continued until emergency services arrived. But Mr. Wilson was pronounced dead at 5:28 p.m."

Wilson had been convicted of drug possession, unlawful possession of a firearm and attempting to elude.

Guthrie says they are working on getting the exact cause.

"The department has requested a critical incident review and a full autopsy. I can't confirm the exact cause of death until the autopsy comes back."

She says the Department of Corrections offers their condolences to Wilson's friends and family.
