Eastmont School District Provides Guidance to Parents on In Person Return

Eastmont School District has issued guidance for parents of children in kindergarten through fourth grade before the return to in person instruction next Monday.

Students have been assigned to either an AM or a PM session with a focus on English, language arts.

"The first thing is to know the start and end times for their session," said Spencer Taylor, executive director of Elementary Education.

Parents must complete the daily attestation form that indicates that their student has no COVID-19 symptoms. Students can tuck that form into the lanyard they will wear during the school day. Upon arrival to school, students will be checked for this form along with a temperature check.

"We want our students to have their masks and know how to wear those appropriately and be ready to wash their hands regularly," said Taylor.

Taylor also emphasized students need to understand social distancing.
