Registration is open until September 30th for the free wood chipping opportunity for Chelan County residents hosted by Cascadia Conservation District. Chipping will occur in mid to late October and requires tracking hours preparing for the chipping crew. Residents must have proof of landowner contribution for the program so that includes record time raking, pruning, thinning trees and other various wildfire preparation activities.

Trees and limbs up to 8" diameter trimmings and brush are allowed - noxious weeds, sod, animal waste, garbage, plastic bags, root balls, pin needles and leaves are not allowed for the program.

The debris should be staked into piles for chipping and it's requested to place all stems to point in the same direction, with cut ends toward the road. The pile height limit is 5 feet and individual cut pieces cannot be thicker than 8" in diameter.
