First-Time Unemployment Down in Chelan and Douglas Counties

First-time unemployment claims dropped in Chelan and Douglas Counties for the third straight week.

The 83 claims in Chelan County were lower than every week in 2020, but two, even prior to the pandemic.

Douglas County was higher than just four weeks in 2020.

Initial applicants rose in Grant County. Statewide, initial claims were down 12%, the third straight week of declines, but total claims actually rose 1%.
