Five Arrested in Okanogan on Drug Charges

Okanogan, WA – On January 21, 2019 the North Central Washington Narcotics Task Force (NCWNTF), Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office, Omak Police Department, Twisp Police Department and the Okanogan County Special Response Team (SRT) executed two search warrants in the Okanogan area.  In November 2018 the NCWNTF began investigating a drug trafficking organization which led to five arrests and two search warrants.  Law Enforcement is continuing the investigation and actively searching for at least one other suspect in connection with this investigation.

Warrants were served on two homes, one being on Elmway and the second was on North 5th Ave. in Okanogan, WA

During the search warrant large amounts of Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Heroin were seized.

The following subjects were arrested:

Maudean L. Vervalen age 29: Arrested on 4 felony charges to include 2-counts of Delivery of Controlled Substance, possession of Controlled Substance with intent to deliver, and possession of drugs by prisoner.

Clifton R. Scroggins age 45: Arrested for two felony charges, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Cocaine.

Luis A. Orosco age 34: Arrested for possession of Controlled substance Heroin, 2 Felony Warrants, and a misdemeanor warrant.

Stacy L. Rodriguez age 52: Arrested for a Felony Warrant

Ashley J. Pearl age 32: Arrested for a Felony Warrant.

Seized Methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $10,000.
