Gebbers Farms says it is evaluating its options to appeal after receiving a record fine from the State Labor and Industries Department of more than $2 million.

The Brewster company says they strongly disagree with the agency's assessment of dozens of health and safety violations after an investigation into the death of two workers.

Gebbers says they adapted to an evolving situation as quickly as possible and implemented cohorts, physical distancing requirements, mandatory face coverings and more.

Gebbers Farms has has about two weeks to appeal the fine.
