Gov. Jay Inslee released further details on what construction is considered essential during the "Stay Home, Stay Healthy" order that lasts through April 8th.

In general, commercial and resident construction is not permitted unless it meets one of three guidelines:

-If it is related to essential activities as described in the order.

-To further a public purpose related to a public entity or governmental function or facility, including but not limited to publicly financed low-income housing.

-To prevent spoliation and avoid damage or unsafe conditions, and address emergency repairs at both non-essential businesses and residential structures.

If construction meets one of those categories, workers must practice social distancing guidelines and wear appropriate protective gear.
