Grant PUD and Washington state's Broadband Office have partnered to provide free public internet access to a handful of rural Grant County locations. Due to COVID-19 and social distancing, internet access has become more vital in gathering news and conducting work than ever. Nine drive-in WiFi hotspots were established last week and locations were selected based on centralized locations, parking and grassy space. According to Grant PUD, signals reach up to 750 feet and no password is needed for access. Folks can find the hotspots by searching 'homeworkhub' network.
