Greater Bar Water District Gets USDA Grants and Loans

The Greater Bar Water District in Bridgeport received a $5,000 loan and $15,000 in grant the USDA through the Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant Program.

The money will add a secondary backup pump, controls and infrastructure to a well to ensure that customers don't lose water for 4-6 weeks in the event of a failure of their second well.

Supplemental funds are needed for a fully funded project which was recognized after contractor bids were received that we're higher than estimated.

Once they are found, the project will be fully funded and begin.
