The 19th Annual GWATA (Greater Wenatchee Area Technology Alliance) Awards Luncheon is this Wednesday, September 25 to celebrate innovators within the community. Awards will be presented for five different categories that highlight locals' achievements in both education and business.

"In our business categories we are recognizing 'Entrepreneur of the Year'. Our second business award is the 'Innovative Use of Technology in Business'," said Jenny Rojanasthien, executive director. "In addition to the business awards, we also have three awards showcasing educators and students."

The educator and student finalists have an opportunity for the STEM Champion of the Year, STEM College Student Innovator of the Year and Future Technology Leader of the Year.

"We just want to invite people to come out and celebrate these innovators in five different categories, meet them at our innovator booth through our networking hour and to enjoy the luncheon and celebration," said Rojanasthien.

The event will be held at the Wenatchee Convention Center from 11:30-1:30.
