Heavy winds with speeds up to 40 miles per hour could cause blowing snow and makes visibility difficult Monday in parts of North Central Washington.

The area heaviest hit will be a pocket from Wenatchee eastward stretching from Moses Lake to the south and Omak to the north.

The strongest winds should be around the Okanogan Valley into the Waterville Plain.

Dangerous wild chills are possible as are reduced visibility with blowing and drifting snow.

Single digit low temperatures will be prevalent Monday through Thursday mornings in the region.

Two storms, one on Wednesday through Thursday night, the other Friday night into New Year's Day on Saturday could bring significant snowfall into lower elevation areas.
