A collision between a semi and a Ford F-150 closed a portion of westbound I-90 a few miles west of George around 6:30 Wednesday morning.

Washington State Patrol Trooper John Bryant said 39-year-old Robert Wiltz of Sarasota, Florida was driving the pickup when he cut off the semi, driven by a 30-year-old Quincy man.

"The roadway was dry. There was no wind in the area, so that was not a factor." detailed Bryant, "It was just the driving by Mr. Wiltz which caused the collision."

Wiltz was transported to Quincy Hospital with minor injuries and later released. The semi driver was uninjured.

Both vehicles incurred significant damage and had to be towed. Debris from the accident caused the right lane of westbound I-90 to close for roughly 3 1/2 hours.

Wiltz was cited for driving with a suspended license and 2nd degree negligent driving.
