Initial Unemployment Claims Up Statewide, Down in Chelan and Douglas Counties
Initial unemployment claims in Washington were up 3.6 percent last week, though total claims were down almost 1 percent.
In North Central Washington, Chelan and Douglas Counties saw a drop in first-time applications while Grant and Okanogan saw slight increases.
The state paid out $250 million to nearly 306-thousand people for the week ending April 3rd.
