East Wenatchee Police arrested a man Tuesday evening in connection with several thefts over the last month, including two churches.

Chief Rick Johnson said that earlier in the day the New Song Church on Grant Road had been discovered burglarized, but they were able to track an iPad taken from the church.

"There is a residence on 2nd Street Southeast that we had developed information that they may be involved in some recent burglaries and thefts in our area over the last month." explained Johnson, "Officers were able to obtain a search warrant for that residence."

Recovered from the residence on the 1100 block of 2nd Street SE was approximately $10,000 worth of items from five different victims. At least two of the victims were local churches. Although officers did not recover a stolen iPad that was initially tracked to the residence, they did find two Apple computers, construction equipment, laptops and numerous other stolen items. The items were taken during four different area incidents from five different victims over the last month.

31-year-old Joseph Lee of East Wenatchee was booked into the Chelan County Jail for multiple counts of possession of stolen property. More charges are possible.
