Large Portion of Millerdale Avenue to Receive Sidewalks

Sidewalks will soon be coming to a 420-foot section of Millerdale Avenue in Wenatchee between Lambert Street and South Miller Street.

City of Wenatchee Engineering Services Manager Jacob Huyler stated that the city will pay Rudnick and Sons' entirely through TIB Complete Streets grant funds. The Wenatchee City Council approved the contract in late August.

"The City received two bids on August 18th with the low bid coming from Rudnick and Sons' Excavation. That's the same firm that's working on our Washington Street project right now." said Huyler, "The bid came in just over $140,000, roughly about $20,000 over our engineer's estimate."

Rudnick and Sons' expects to start work in early to mid October. The project should last about 5 weeks.
