The city of Leavenworth has started work for its paid parking program with sensor installations in parking lots P2, P3 and P5 underway. For the next ten days, work for the program will occur city parking lots.

"We are installing sensors which will then be followed by kiosks and then we will be installing parking meters throughout the city," said Ana Cortez, city administrator.

According to Cortez, the Parking Committee, chaired by council member Anne Hessburg, has been active and analytical in how to implement the program.

A Parking Committee open house forum is Wednesday via Zoom at 6 p.m.
