Link Transit executed 50 megawatt-hours of energy delivered wirelessly, using a wireless charging system developed by Momentum Dynamic, to its electric bus fleet in the last month.

"Link Transit made a very clear decision a couple years ago they wanted to electrify their bus fleet," said Michael McHale, Momentum Dynamics Head of communications. "They wanted to do it in the most efficient way possible that could get the furthest mile on a route.

Wireless charging can power the vehicle while it goes through the route and the vehicle never has to get off route to charge up. Link opted for wireless charging in 2018.
