A Wenatchee man caused a two hour search Friday night after a report that he was allegedly threatening Moonlight Motor Lodge guests and employees with a knife.

"The original report said that he was in the office area of the motor lodge, waving a knife around, threatening people and he continued to do that out in the parking lot and threaten guests," said Chelan County Sergeant Andy Zimmerman.

By the time deputies reached the area, the suspect, Erik S. Baldwin, had fled the scene, according to Zimmerman. With the assistance of the K-9 unit and a drone, a two hour search was underway to find Baldwin.

"A volunteer deputy brought his drone in and flew it around the area," said Zimmerman. "He was located about two hours later on the property of motor lodge."

Baldwin was taken into custody, arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and and threats to kill and held at the Chelan County Regional Justice Center.
