Grant County deputies responded to an early morning report of a drive-by shooting south of Moses Lake on New Year's day. At roughly 2:30 a.m., there were reports of multiple shots fired in the 9000 block of Vernal Drive Southeast.

"No one was hurt and at least one home was damaged," said Kyle Foreman, public information officer.

According to Foreman, the shell casings were left behind at the scene and were sent off to the Washington State crime lab for analysis.

"Witnesses said they saw a small passenger car leaving the area, but we don't have any suspects or good, solid vehicle description right now so the investigation will continue," said Foreman.
