A Moses Lake woman is in big trouble after committing three separate incidents of hit-and-run Tuesday afternoon in Soap Lake before being arrested for DUI.

Chief Ryan Cox said that Tara Freitas first took a u-turn too fast, striking a fence and running over a hydrant, before leaving that scene only to hit another fence and a trailer a few blocks later.

Freitas left then left the 2nd scene and soon failed to negotiate a Y-intersection, driving through a third fence and striking a house.

"Each time she collided with something at a scene is going to be a separate charge." explained Cox, "So she will have two separate charges of misdemeanor hit-and-run and then she will have a felony-level hit-and-run collision charge as well, along with the DUI. There will also be a malicious mischief charge."

Cox then witnessed Freitas attempting to leave her car with a gallon of vodka in her purse. She likely had a blood alcohol level nearly four times the legal limit when the incidents occurred.

There were no injuries.
