Moses Lake Woman Faces Manslaughter & DUI from California Crash that Killed Young Daughter

A Moses Lake woman faces new charges of vehicular manslaughter for a crash in California that killed her seven-year-old daughter in May.

KPQ news partner I-Fiber One reports California Highway Patrol is now confirming that 35-year-old Wendy Garcia was under the influence when she rolled her car near Edwards Air Force Base north of Los Angeles.

Garcia reportedly assaulted officers after the single car crash, where four of her five kids between 7 and 12 were thrown from the car.

The seven-year-old died at the scene of the crash while Garcia and her kids were visiting family in the area.

Garcia was arrested and taken to Kern County Jail in Bakersfield on suspicion of DUI and Vehicular Homicide.
