A motorcyclist lost control on I-90 just before 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, causing serious injuries.

Trooper John Bryant said 31-year-old Mason Grinage of Cle Elum was traveling westbound on I-90 just before the Thorp exit outside of Ellensburg when the incident occurred.

"There is a big right hand curve there." explained Bryant, "He apparently lost control, went into a high-speed wobble and laid the motorcycle down causing it to slide. The driver partially ejected, although I'd say if you're off the bike you're ejected. The driver and the motorcycle stopped at the left shoulder."

Grinage was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center for his injuries. He was wearing a helmet, but was cited for not having an endorsement or insurance.
