Wednesday morning, a home on the 300 Block of Eastmont Avenue in East Wenatchee had multiple agencies, including the Columbia River Drug Task Force, search the home with a warrant which resulted in detaining nine people and two arrests.

"One person barricaded himself in the attic," said Sergeant Rob Huddleston, Columbia River Drug Task Force. "Pepper spray was introduced in the attic which did not affect the person in there and then we called for a canine and as soon as the suspect heard the canine barking he gave up and came out."

That particular individual had two felony warrants out for his arrest so he was taken into custody. A female staying on the premise also had a warrant for her arrest and was taken into custody. According to Huddleston, there will probably be more arrests based on what was found inside the residence.

East Wenatchee Police Department, Chelan County Sheriff's Office and Douglas County Sheriff's Office assisted the search.
